In the paintings of E. Dąbrowa-Dabrowski, a self-taught much traveling across European countries are legible influences of the environments with which he was associated. The canvas painted around 1899 After the rain, so at the end of his stay in Munich, where he joined the Polish artistic colony, we find misty, dark green colors of Munich. Mysterious atmosphere obtained with their help is closer to paintings of  A. Böcklin than decorative, almost synthetic works of the Symbolists of the turn of the century, under the influence of which, few years later was painted Evening of Dąbrowa.
